Feel more like yourself again
Integrated ketamine-assisted therapy for treatment-resistant depression.
Six days in Bangkok combining medically supervised IV ketamine treatment, psychological preparation, integration therapy and a commitment to long-term continued support.
Delivered with an established international medical provider. Treatment is subject to medical and psychiatric assessment.
Takes around 2–3 minutes. This does not confirm acceptance for treatment.
TREATMENT-RESISTANT DEPRESSION
When depression has not improved despite treatment
For some people, depression persists despite antidepressant medication, psychological therapy or other established treatments.
There may have been periods when things improved. A medication may have helped for a while. Therapy may have made some aspects of life easier. Yet the depression remains, returns, or continues to affect relationships, work, motivation and the ability to enjoy life.
When depression has not responded sufficiently to established treatment, clinicians may describe it as treatment-resistant depression.
That does not mean there are no further options.
It means it may be appropriate to review what has already been tried and consider whether a different treatment pathway should be explored.
THE MEND METHOD
A different approach to treatment-resistant depression
The Mend is an integrated treatment programme for adults experiencing persistent or treatment-resistant depression.
For people already familiar with ketamine treatment, the difference is important: The Mend is not designed around an infusion in isolation.
Medical treatment, psychological preparation, ketamine-assisted therapy, individual and group integration, daily body-based work and continued support are brought together within one coordinated programme.
For people who are new to ketamine-assisted therapy, the principle is straightforward.
Ketamine is the medical treatment. Ketamine-assisted therapy places that treatment within a structured therapeutic process — preparing for the experience beforehand, providing therapeutic support around treatment, and helping you process and integrate what follows.
Each day also includes body-based practices such as breathwork, movement and Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), supporting physical awareness, regulation and reconnection alongside the psychological work.
The aim is to create a coherent treatment experience — rather than a series of separate interventions.
WHY KETAMINE
Why therapeutic ketamine for depression?
Low-dose ketamine has been studied as a treatment for depression because its antidepressant effects can emerge more rapidly than those associated with conventional antidepressant medicines in some people.
Clinical studies and systematic reviews have found reductions in depressive symptoms following IV ketamine in adults with treatment-resistant depression.
Everyone responds to ketamine differently. The degree, speed and duration of improvement can vary, which is why treatment at The Mend is not delivered as a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Following clinical assessment, the treatment plan is tailored to the individual — including the medical protocol, psychological preparation, integration therapy, body-based work and the level of continued support needed after six days with The Mend.
Ketamine is considered one part of a wider, personalised treatment programme, with medical oversight throughout and no assumption that every person will respond in the same way.
MORE THAN AN INFUSION
Four interconnected areas of care
Research suggests that IV ketamine is best considered within a wider clinical and therapeutic context rather than simply as an isolated procedure.
Medical treatment
Psychiatric and medical assessment come first. Where treatment is clinically appropriate, three medically supervised IV ketamine treatments are planned during the six-day programme, with clinical decisions remaining with the medical team throughout.
Preparation and integration
Preparation helps you understand what to expect and enter treatment with greater clarity. Individual and group integration provide structured time afterwards to explore the experience, understand what may have emerged and consider how it connects with everyday life.
Body-based work
Breathwork, movement and Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) form part of each programme day, sitting alongside medical and psychological treatment to support awareness, regulation and reconnection throughout.
A supported residential setting
The six-day programme includes private accommodation within a resort hotel in Bangkok — creating space between sessions for therapy, integration, body-based work, rest and reflection without immediately returning to the demands of ordinary daily life.
THE STRUCTURE

BEFORE ARRIVAL
Assessment & preparation
Psychiatric and medical assessment, alongside psychological preparation, so you arrive in Bangkok with clarity about what to expect.

Three medically supervised IV ketamine treatments, ketamine-assisted therapy, daily body-based work and structured integration — within a private residential setting.
AFTER YOU LEAVE
Continued support
A commitment to long-term continued support, connected back into the care you already have in place.
CLINICAL DECISIONS
A clear, careful path to a clinical decision
Every enquiry is reviewed individually. Eligibility depends on a full medical and psychiatric assessment — nothing is assumed in advance.
CONTINUITY OF CARE
Care continues beyond the treatment room.
We work collaboratively with your existing psychiatrist, psychologist or wider care team so that treatment in Bangkok forms part of a continuous care pathway rather than an isolated episode.
With your consent, relevant information can be shared before treatment, and after the programme we can provide an appropriate clinical and therapeutic handover to support the next stage of your care.
Our commitment is to continuity — helping ensure that what happens during the six-day programme is understood, integrated and connected back into the support you already have in place.
GETTING STARTED
You do not need to decide about treatment today.
You only need to decide whether it is worth having the conversation.
Our short questionnaire takes around 2–3 minutes and helps us understand what you have been experiencing, what treatment you may already have tried, and whether speaking with The Mend could be a useful next step. It is not a medical assessment and does not confirm acceptance for treatment.
